What is Employer Branding?

* To create a recognizable looking their marketing

* To distinguish themselves amongst their competitors in the market place

* To identify their uniqueness

* And to communicate an idea that represents the organization’s philosophy towards their customers.

It conveys the Value proposition:

* Systems

* Attitudes

* And employee relationship

A Brand if a promise that engages the intended customer, when it comes to attracting and retaining employees, the candidates/employees are your customers.

Why do we need it?

Employees want to be a part of organizations that embrace the same core values as them.

Employers have to mentally shift from Candidates seeking them out to a sales approach where companies are seeking out candidates.

On the customer’s side: selling services or products

On the employee side: selling a career in the organization

>Is the customer and employee target market the same?

Employees have to buy into the overall philosophy but they don’t necessarily have to buy your product or service.

They need different assessment and messaging.

Beyond recruitment: employer brand also influences employee retention. Mobilizing the work force to engage perspective candidates is a great advantage but only possible if they experience what the brand describes. This requires your employer brand to be communicated internally and externally in your employee materials and events that are held for the employees.
