The case of Fred Maiorino analyzes his career and seemingly wrongful termination after thirty-five years of employment at Schering-Plough, a pharmacy sales organization. In the following analysis, the elements of the management style, the motivational methods, and goals set by Fred’s manager Jim Reed will be evaluated. A characteristic that is perceived as a positive aspect of senior age demographic is increased employer loyalty (James, McKechnie, & Swanberg, 2011).
