Critiquing Philosophical Approaches to Ethical Decision Making

If I was the mayor of the town I would choose to favor in economic prosperity. I think that if there is room to build a new mall and resort then there is room to build a newer nursing home for the elderly. Everybody in the town can be taken care of if I chose to go this route. The elderly are important to be taken care of but I also think that other people than just the elderly need jobs to be able to take of themselves and their families. As the mayor of the town it is hard to say this without being cruel and sounding like I do not have a heart, but the people that are younger have a longer life to live. These people need to be able to have lives and to prepare their children for life. There always is room for the elderly whether it be built with the new mall and resort or built somewhere else within the town. Everybody is important in my town and everybody needs to be taken care of with the best intentions. If my town does not have this option there are many people that will lose the chance of being able to improve their lives financially. So the positive decision that I am making will benefit everybody including the elderly.

As Catalina I would chose to be honest and let the company know who many sales I made through the year rather than make up false sales to benefit for my own good and for the other employees. Also there are two weeks left until I have to report my sales for the end of the fiscal year. In those two weeks I could make the three sales that I am short on or I could make more than just the three sales. As an employee to my company not only am I loyal but I am honest so I will not make false statements that could affect the company in the future. There are always profits and losses in life and three short sales from one sales rep would not make a tremendous impact. Now if I did make three false sales to meet the goal and then turned around and the following year...
