Accountability and integrity are some of the most important values individuals can exercise in the Army. Accountability is being responsible or answerable for an action. Accountability is very important because it allows for your chain of command to know where you are at at the moment .If a leader does not know how many troops are available then he/she will not know who is available to do what. Everything must be accounted for, from food, to rounds, to troops, to vehicles, to fuel, etc. As a 92y, It is very crucial; to know what is available at all times The most important thing you’ll learn as a Soldier is how to become a successful leader. You will be given many opportunities to improve your leadership and teamwork skills as you take on more responsibility and move up in rank. You’ll learn how to motivate and problem solve — to pursue goals with passion, to stand up to challenges, and lead and live with your strengths. You will learn to lead by example. As a Soldier in the U.S. Army, you're tasked with upholding the Constitution and protecting America's freedoms. But it's not always work — Soldiers have free time just like everyone else to spend with friends and family, or take part in sports or hobbies. Soldiers continually strengthen themselves mentally and physically through Ongoing Training. And most important — Soldiers live the Seven Core Army Values every day.. I’ve had events in the past when I fell asleep in AIT. The Sergeants would say “Stay awake stay Alive.” I never really understood what that meant until I was on the internet and saw how being alert and knowing where everyone was made a difference. Heres a story about a soldier whose story got through to me.
