Venice

Venice is a historical tourist city which full of historic buildings and art treasures where is located on a cluster of hollow islands in the middle of an extension shallow lagoon. The city is out of the problems of motor car due to its location. Venice is not only a historical island-city and there is a lot of grow up industrial suburbs on the mainland.

The most famous attractions place of Venice can be found around and in the Piazza di San Marco is also known as St Marks Square which is one of Europe’s finest meeting places. The city layout is not planning formally over the centuries but it still looks nice. Basilica of St. Marks is one of the attraction places in Venice which it has very unique architecture compared to other cathedral. Besides that, there is Doge’s Palace which is connected by The Bridge of Sighs to the former prisons. Another well-known bridge in Venice is the Rialto, which dates from the medieval. The Grand Canal was lining by around 200 palaces and it was built by the rich traders between 13th and 16th centuries, which was the time of Venice is famous in trading of luxuries from Asia. In 18th century, Venice had become a business centre but it is a place as a resort for gamblers and entertainment seekers from all over Europe. There is a Venice Carnival, people wearing masks and costumes are as a reminder of this period. There is other islands in the lagoon that you can visit where is Murano, Burano, Lido di Venezia( Venice Lido) and so on.

Venice has its own international airport named after Marco Polo, the famous Venetian merchant-adventurer. The modes of transport that tourists prefer is by air compared to sea even though Venice has ranks as Italy’s fifth largest port. The rail and road transport can accessible to Venice.
