I. Introduction

In order for a company to grow and be successful there must be training for employees to meet the vision and mission of the company. Employees are a big piece of the puzzle and it is critical for them to master the knowledge, skill, and behaviors that are needed for them to do their day-to-day job. (Noe, 2010, pg 4) My organization training needs would deal with the overall performance of a tracking system called IT Works. This system is important to the company, because it tracks payroll and expenditures on various projects.

The training would aim to ensure that the all employees using the system are capable of using the system to match the company’s needs. The training would focus on identifying what skill shortages exists and what can be addressed through training. It would also address some of the environmental issues affecting performance, for example the equipment/software requirements. This training course would help to provide the desired solution to the problem that exists within the company. It is important that this training meet the company’s requirement for reporting to external agencies.

II. Organizational Needs Analysis

Within my organization there is a need for clear reporting of financial figures. These reports are used for financial reporting to the government, state, and private sector on financial spending of money that was awarded to our agency. These reports must be accurate and the only way to do that is to have the data entered correctly. The data entered includes things like transaction date, vendor, project ID, cost center, dollars, invoice number, and reconciliation date that must be entered by all employees the same way in order to have accurate financial reports.
