“The History of Rock and Roll”

Born Steven Victor Tallarico from America’s greatest rock and roll band from the 1970‘s

Aerosmith, states, “Life is short. Break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that makes you smile.” That perfectly describes the way rock ‘n’ roll and life itself was looked as in this era. In the fifties “rock ‘n’ roll” was more than often taken to be lucidly a new name for “rhythm and blues”, or also known as “R&B”, the music industry’s collective term for any popular music fundamentally created and consumed by African-Americans. In this paper I will show how a vast combination of different genres of music such as: country, gospel music, jazz, and African American blues came to form what is commonly known as “rock ‘n’ roll” which expanded between the late 1940s through early 1950s.

The term "rock and roll" has two separate meanings: the first is commonly known as an alternation with rock music and secondly as music that started in the mid-1950s and later developed into the more embracing style of music known as rock music. In the earliest rock and roll styles of the late 1940s and early 1950s, either the piano or saxophone was the lead instrument, but these were normally swapped by guitar in the late 1950s. The beat is imperatively given off by a blues pattern with a focus accent, the closing almost always supported by a snare drum. Although straightforwardly a musical technique, rock and roll, as seen in movies and on television has also influenced way of life, vogue, perspectives, and language.

Fundamentally, I would have to say that my favorite hard rock/ blue-rock band of all time would have to be Aerosmith. Steven Tyler’s raspy, high screaming vocal range is remarkably astonishing to me in every way.
