I. Introduction

The Philippines is known worldwide for various of things. May it be from beautiful beaches, to famous people, as well as to different businesses. The Philippines have different successful world-class companies. From the past until the present, the country grows to being a competent company producer. A famous Philippine icon globally is a jolly bee, this is the mascot of the international fast-food chain, Jollibee. It is known to bring a haven of happiness to different families. Aside from being the first food service company to be listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange, it has also been named by the Far Eastern Economic Review as “The Most Admired Company” in the Philippines over the last 6 years (De Leon 2013). Tony Tan Caktiong, the founder, has also once received the prestigious award of “World Entrepreneur of the Year.”

Jollibee’s mission for the past 35 years is “to serve great tasting food, bringing the joy of eating to everyone.” This company has always thrived for customer satisfaction, and to be believed that this is their key to success. This mission has reached to almost throughout the whole country with around 800 stores nationwide. Jollibee has become one of the most popular, and highly preferred brands here in the Philippines. It is also the largest fast food chain in the country, which will be discussed through their financial statements in the next part of this research. Jollibee is also an emerging global player and has also expanded worldwide with around 100 stores. The country outside of the Philippines with the most Jollibee store is Vietnam with 40 branches, followed by the United States of America with 26 branches spread out through California, Nevada, New York, Washington, and Hawaii. Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Jeddah are the other countries to have branches of Jollibee as well.
