We only live our life once, an what we do with that life is our own decision. Many people at young ages decide to live a life of miscreants and become what are called juvenile criminals, but, every action should have its own consequences and to deal with these unlawful adolescent we have the Justice Department. The juvenile justice system is agencies that deal with juveniles whose conduct has come in conflict with the law. These agencies include police, lawyers, court, probation, and the department of corrections. However, when young offenders commit a series of crimes, constantly being in trouble with the law, they are waived into an adult court where they will be subject to the punishment given. In some cases such as in homicide they are waived into the adult system automatically.

Juveniles being tried as adults mean sending them to state penitentiaries, an possible sentenced up to life in prison without parole, or even be executed. I do believe juveniles have the capacity to truly understand the crimes they have committed. Although there should be an age limit for introducing these juveniles into the adult justice system. Many learn from family members who have took the same path as they are taking. Others have been abused an neglected, but that should not be the crutch to keep them from learning on what they done wrong. Crime rates have become outrageous and statistics prove that the majority of the crimes are being done by minors. When you look into the background of these young delinquents most of them come from single parents homes and have high rates of learning disabilities, mental health, and substance abuse problems and with help of the juvenile justice system they can make a huge turn into a successful transition for these young adults.
