Introduction
Public health is what each person does to assure that the people of our nation are healthy. Many national, state, and federal agencies contribute to public health by providing organizations that act as the primary advocate. Each state has a department of health to help support and educate American’s on public health services. The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) works with local health departments to protect, improve, and provide services to the Ohio citizens (Ohio Department of Health, 2009). Within this analysis will cover the description of the agency and how it relates to other public health agencies, explanation of the agency’s functions, constituencies, structure of the agency, funding source, and the regulatory control.
