A hero

What is a hero? Nowadays, news media influence people’s thoughts. On television, people talk of athletes and celebrities as being heroes but they are actually not. We call those ones role models. A hero deliberately and courageously overcomes obstacles for the benefit of others without regard to personal advantages or disadvantages, conquered obstacles are the only qualifying credentials of heroes and a measure of one's true leadership. To be qualified as a hero, three qualities have to be filled: bravery, strength and humbleness.

Firstly, a hero has to be really brave. Bravery is important, because without the trust in yourself you will accomplish nothing. Do you think that the world's top doctors, lawyers, and everyday super heroes are able to do their jobs without bravery? No, they have the self-confidence and bravery to do their jobs and that’s why they succeed. Heroes of all sorts have to possess bravery! For example Nelson Mandela who wanted equality between black and white population in South Africa. It was hard at the beginning but he showed a bunch of courage, went in prison, got out and continued to fight against apartheid. One of his quotes says: “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

Secondly, a hero is perseverant. A good one won't stop until he or she achieves what he or she has to accomplish. This quality is what makes a hero that special. Even if they experience failure or discouragement on their way, they have to be determined to outdo it and fight until they reach successful results. They should never give up. The best example right here is parents concerning their kids. Mothers carry babies in their stomachs during nine months without complaining because they want to born the baby. We all know that it’s not a little task to carry a baby, there are a lot of contractions before the birth but mothers keep faith...
