According to “Flawless Skin Tops Color Cosmetics For Women As Makeup Priority” (2012), a survey conducted online by Harris Interactive within the United States among 1,018 females 18 years and older and authorized by Neutrogena Cosmetics revealed that female consumers would prefer having makeup cover and sun protection in their color cosmetics over traditional fashion forward colors.

58% of those surveyed said they desire a product that provides flawless skin tones when questioned if they could only have a single cosmetic product. Intriguingly, 68% of the females surveyed disclosed they are willing and prepared to undergo without anything for one year to experience perfect skin (Flawless Skin Tops Color Cosmetics For Women As Makeup Priority, 2012). Perhaps, these females would be willing to pay more money for foundations or powders that truly cover their flaws, allocating the cosmetic formulators higher budgets for revolutionary cosmetic products.
