Interpersonal communication is something that was becoming a requirement back in the nineties. “Thirty years ago, a businessperson was generally hired on the basis of technical skills. Since then, the world’s economy has moved toward service-oriented, information-focused businesses that are increasingly organized in teams.” (http://business.uni.edu). However, now it has become a requirement if one wishes to do well in today’s world. For example, Assistant Store Manager, Nathan Crump of Lowes declared, “I look for two things, the willingness to learn and to be able to communicate ones intensions effectively.” All in all, something that used to be a bonus skill is becoming a must have skill.
To learn how to have effective interpersonal communication we, F.A.A.C.T., have developed a program called P.L.A.N. Inside this program are sub programs that include Preparation, Language, Attitude, and Neatness. Each of these will be the eye openers to college students, showing them how lacking most are in interpersonal communication. The first program will discuss the importance of preparation in communication. The second will expand on how language is one of the most important pieces of communication. Also the attitude of a person will be introduced because if one is positive others will be more enthused. Once a person completes these four programs, the result will be astonishing.
Finally, let these programs be granted to help with the cost of supplies and professional workers so that clients may become dictators of exceptional interpersonal communication. The program P.L.A.N. will be the key to a door with endless possibilities. After one completes this program we guarantee that the graduate will be more educated in the arts of negotiation, in basic communicating, and even capable of getting a phone number without using a pickup line.
