Task 1:

No, I would not like to live in this community as by the given information it does not seem to be an advanced community for example out of the entire population only 32.5% of the people seem to have a bachelor’s degree thus creating an implication that the rest of the population may not be well educated and knowledgeable.

No, I do not think enough information is provided to make my decision to live in the community. More data on the growth level, productivity level, employment and inflation levels must be provided in order to manipulate it into information, thus creating enough knowledge to make decisions on whether or not to live in the community.

Task2:

1) Two features that are unique to online newspapers are the ability to view videos and the ability to search for a particular article through the archives.

2) Such online Pacific newspapers has positively affected me and my community as it keeps us up to date and aware of all the issues and happenings that occur around the Pacific region. As a community it allows us to communicate and share our opinions and stories through online forums on sites.

3) I do not completely agree with the statement of heading towards a paperless society. The reason for my disagreement is that not all of the communities in the Pacific region have attained advances in the field of technology and communication as many people in the various island still do not have knowledge or access to computers, internet, and mobile devices as it takes time and money to introduce such developments especially in the rural areas though governments are planning and implementing such developments. Thus a large group of people still rely on sources of information through paper e.g. newspapers & books.
