Over the course of my professional career, teaching experiences, leadership conferences, and faculty development have resulted in the acquisition of a skill set applicable to the position of Psychology Intern is to assist with the smooth execution of the MAABpsi 2013 conference and member related activities.

As a Global Diversity and Talent Inclusion intern at Google Incorporated, my direct responsibilities were to serve as the lead communication Director to for The Fourth Annual HBCU Faculty Summit hosted by Google in Mountain View California. My duties were to organize and maintain efficiency in meeting the specific needs of my manager and provide all interactions by serving at the point of contact to the all faculty attending the four-day conference. Deliverables in this role included creating and managing a website that served as the source of all information regarding the summit, ensuring compliance and completion of catering, traveling expenses, hotel reservations, preparing all materials for the summit, as well as monitoring social media presence, email communications, and an interactive website. In addition to providing support in a professional office environment, I have gained valuable knowledge in becoming self-motivated and genuine service to my community as a teacher at KIPP WAYS academy and as a Student Program Assistant in the Faculty Development Center at Morehouse College.

Matriculating in the fast-paced and diverse arena of a psychology intern for MAABpsi fosters a host of intangibles transferrable to any industry. Organization, strong written and verbal skills, being able to adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge, and limited supervision are essential skills I can provide to make a positive impact on the Metro-Atlanta Association of Black Psychologists psychology internship.
