“My Lords,” said he, “when I preach in church I take pains to have a naughty speech, and ring it out as roundly as a bell, for I know by heart all that I tell. I show bulls of popes, cardinals, patriarchs, and bishops; and I speak a few words in Latin, to give color and flavor to my long glass jars, crammed full of rags and bones; these are relics-as they all suppose. Then I have a shoulder bone, set in metal, from a holy Jew’s sheep.

(Clay, Kevin, and Pablo look for death. They all of a sudden come upon death as their walking.)

Death: “Alas, when shall my bones be at rest?”

Pablo: “Sissy, all nicely wrapped up heey.

Death: God keep you, (Death picks up poking staff up off the ground)

Clay: “What are you hanging around so long for?”

(Death pulls off hood and Clay falls down in fear.)

Death: “Death refused to take my life. I walk the earth knock at my mother’s gate, but she denies me the grace of God…

(says death as she walks away)

Kevin: “Not so fast. You must be Death’s lookout. Where is he?”

Death: “I left him over there under a tree. He’ll be waiting.”

Pablo: “Come on then, we’ll have him now.

(As the men are walking away Pablo, Clay, Kevin look for the tree in the forest when they come across a pot of gold.)

Clay: “Look at this!”

(as I fall into the pile of gold)

Kevin: “We have to get this gold away from here and back to my house…or yours.”

(pointing at clay)

Kevin: “We’re going to have to move it carefully and cleverly. Let us draw sticks and the largest stick pulled must go to town and bring back bread and wine to celebrate while the other two shall guard it!”

(The men draw sticks and Clay draws the largest one.)

Kevin: “Now go! Once it’s dark we’ll get it out of here.”

(Clay goes into town and suddenly comes up...
