Vocation is a vast idea or word it may be defined in many ways and in many different context. The definition or the idea of this word is can be different from one point of view to the other. As part of the researcher’s aim to somehow give an overview of this word, in one perspective and it should be in accordance in the context of the Roman Catholic. The researcher wants to give a sort of tips and also a sort of eye opener for those until now still in that stage of their life wherein they face many path and not able to drove one or to follow one. Choosing a vocation in life is indeed one of the problem in our society right now. Many will just fall into the temptation of their world to answer to a wrong vocation and not fitting to one’s environment or even to one’s desire. In this case there is also a problem of practicing one’s freedom in choosing their particular vocation in life. Freedom can be one of the factors that affects ones decision to follow life’s vocation.

The researcher on this part wants to integrate the view of freedom of one of the philosophers and his own look up with this kind of problem. Jean Paul. No one can decide for our own life or the kind of life a person we wanted to live. It is the person himself who makes her/his life worth living. It has been said that existence precedes essence which means that man must create his own life until he is able to find meaning in it. And since he is the one who makes his own life then he must be responsible of the things to happen or will be coming along the way… This also points us that man has the capacity to direct his own life realizing that he has the freedom to search and find his own life’s comfort, to choose his own happiness, to reach his own goals in life and finally find his essence after his existence.
