The purpose of this executive summary is to analyze the issues that arose with the planned launch of a new product, iScanner, from AcuScan and to reevaluate the facts involved. The scope includes multiple conversations, both in person as well as online, between departments that resulted in some miscommunication about budget, programming and product launch.

Summary of the Situation

The miscommunication and conflict between departments at AcuScan is stifling the future development of the firm and is causing confusion in receiving positive results for the potential new product launch. Secur-A, AcuScan’s, main competitor is only 4 months away from launching their new product so it is believed to be absolutely essential to the survival of AcuScan to come out with a successful product before its competitors.
