Now, I am talking about the development work of ARCS.

In case, HPL’s system is proposed for automating ticket and passes revenue collection for all parks. For the in-house system development, HPL does not have extensive IT staff, therefore, it is difficult for them to develop.  And there is required qualified staff and top management during the intervention phase.

Finally, HPL can either purchase the software or outsourcing the system:

Let’s talk about those advantages and disadvantages.

For purchase the software, there are three possible ways.

Those methods enable HPL to purchase the software from the market directly and reduce the errors. It is less time consuming by simplifying the decision-making process and therefore the efficiency of top management is escalated. The information can globally access and can be access with the skilled IT personnel.

For the disadvantages of purchasing software, it may have logical and development errors. The system may be inefficient and difficult to use. Since the programme is not produced by internal staffs, users may not be able to correct the bug when fundamental errors are encountered.

For the outsourcing the system, it hires an outside company to handle all or a part of a firm’s activities for the data processing. The organization can improve their cash position and reduce expenses by selling assets to an outsourcer, and access to advanced technology with the experts’ experience. On the other hand, part of the cost saved due to standardized user applications and lower maintenance expense between the project and operating at higher volumes.

However, there are drawbacks in outsourcing, there are poor services may contain if unfamiliar outsourcing company is selected. The development competitive advantages may be affected and increase the risk.

In conclusion, HPL should outsource the development work of the ARCS since HPL does not have experienced internal IT staffs. The system development cannot rely on....
