Characteristics of High Performing Organization (HPO);
• An HPO sees people as assets, unlike many companies that treat their employees as liabilities.
• Create teams that are cohesive and collaborate toward a specific goal or work accomplishment.
• Integrate the latest technologies. Allows employees to focus on other important tasks and increase their productivity through cost-effective methods.
• Focus on growth and development of their employees. Giving their employees the opportunity to grow and learn within their profession.
• Goal objectives and oriented. It is important to share in the organization vision, mission and values with all stakeholders.
• Total Quality management (TQM). TQM promotes continuous improvement within the organization. It also builds employee dedication to achieve quality results.
How high-performance organizations (HPO) differ from traditional organizations in terms of operational effectiveness, workplace stress, and organizational dynamics.
A HPO works to bring out the best in their employees. An HPO effectively remains competitive within its respective industry by balancing the needs of their internal and external stakeholders. A high performance workplace combines technologies, processes and management so employees can find more values in what they do. HPOs make it a focus to integrate collaboration, information access, knowledge management, messaging portals, on-line learning and new productivity tools.
Strategies for managing stress in the workplace.
• Improve communication by sharing information. By doing this, it reduces uncertainty about their future and clearly defines the employee’s roles and responsibilities.
