The trend I have chosen for my hypothesis is the Housing Units Supplied, which I considered important for all the factors that can be affected by it. This is because it is able to affect the prices of housing, amount of people moving into a particular city, and even amount of jobs. My hypothesis is, if less housing is supplied in a city that is growing or getting over populated housing prices will go up and living conditions might decrease as well. The information that I need in order to investigate my hypothesis is: housing units supplied in a decade, population and population increase (to anticipate future growth in population), and living conditions in my neighborhood. There are three questions that I will ask in order to confirm or revise my hypothesis:

1. Has the housing units supplied been enough for the population increase?

2. Have house prices changed relatively to the housing units supplied?

3. Have living conditions improve or decrease over the years?

Once those questions are answered the hypothesis can be confirmed or revised.

In 1990 there were 3,520 housing units of which 3,333 were occupied and 187 were vacant; In year 2000 total housing units were 3,670 of which 3,487 were occupied and 183 vacant; and in year 2010 total housing units of 3,894 of which 3,685 were occupied and 209 were vacant; this data comes from The Census Profile Data from the US Census bureau, This report shows housing supply for Sunnyside. This report these numbers answer the first question I asked; even though the housing units supplied for the two decades mentioned were enough to accommodate the population, it represents a shortage in housing with 95% of housing units being occupied for year 1990 and 2000, while 94.6% in 2010 shows that almost all the units had been occupied. In year 2000 the Median House Value was $176,300 and Median Gross Rent was $635, which increased by 2010 to a Median House Value of $380,200 and a Median Gross Rent of $911.The Median gross value...
