Race Through Time

Throughout the years, every generation has had their own racial conflict that has evolved. Many years ago it was about racial segregation and the newest one being, the United States having a black president. Racial segregation has come a long way since there was slavery; due to the fact many blacks have spoken their mind about the segregation. Many people don’t think that race is still a problem but though it may not be as bad as it was, it still is a big deal. Race is built in to everyone’s minds since the day they were born so though we unintentionally don’t try to be bias we all are. An example of how bias the society is, is a great deal of community’s are labeled as “black only” communities because many people think blacks are a much more violent race. Though evolution has proven that racial segregation has come a long way, there are still a few problems that haven’t been addressed. To make sure that those problems are addressed more people need to understand what happened in the past and hopefully the society will learn from that to create a brighter future.

Many years before America became the United States, slavery had begun. The blacks weren’t treated with the same respect that they deserved. They were beaten to death and they had no say in any of the desertions the government and the white plantation owners did. They wanted equality but instead they got racial segregation. As time had gone on many rebelled against this segregation, but they had not gotten further than sparking a flam in some other blacks before they were brutally punished for such actions. Through the times hope for equality had almost died, but the fight for it shot up, like bullet being fired to signal the start of a war. Many blacks were fighting for what they believed in. the only problem was they were fighting the wrong way for their cause.
