Synthesis About Water Pollution

The written article talks about water pollution’s causes and effects and what we can do to prevent and minimise it. It is mentioned in the article that before the 19th century, people in different countries were happy and living in a safe environment but when industrialisation started spreading, the amount of pollution rose with it like a virus.

Most of the people think that living in an industrialised country is good, but what we don’t know is that we have a choice, whether to prevent water pollution or just ignore it. I personally would choose the first option; I would want to drink clean water rather than dirty water. I believe no one likes pollution, it’s just that sometimes we don’t actually know that what we‘re doing is wrong, sometimes even if we do, we still do the wrong thing.

In an instance, when we’re eating candy in the beach, we don’t bother finding a bin, we just throw it anywhere we want, but think of it, even if it’s just a candy wrap, it would still increase water pollution if thrown in the water. There are approximately 8 billion people in the world, imagine 3 million of those people do the same thing you did, threw a piece of a candy in the water, well I think it would cause a lot of problem.

It’s not the end of the world; we may not be able to wash water pollution away that simply but there are ways which we can implement lessening it. There are some advertisements on television which help people find ways to prevent it. if we really want to lessen it, we can simply start at home by disposing waste responsibly, conserving water, not letting the tap water run for the whole day.
