Present real-world examples that describe the significance of designing modular, redundant, and secure network architectures. Defend your answer from a technical perspective. A real world example that describes the significance of designing modular, redundant, and secure network architectures is the Cisco Enterprise Architecture. The modularity built into the architecture allows for a lot of flexibility in network design and facilitates implementation and troubleshooting. This type of architecture is one that allows for large and complex tasks to be broke down by reducing the enterprise network into further physical, logical, and functional areas to scale the hierarchical model. Instead of designing using only the hierarchical model, networks can also be designed using Cisco Enterprise Architecture, with hierarchy access, distribution, and core (Teare, 2008).
