Henry Hank Anderson founded Henderson Industries( HI) in 1954. It was a sub-contractor of industrial scales operating out of his garage in NJ. He worked for Richardson Scale Company during the day and for himself on nights and weekends. Hank expanded the HI product line to include instrumentation and control panels. In 1967 he quit Richardson Scale as his own growing company needed full time direction. As a university graduate with a major in electrical technology he knew he had the technical skills to head up the business. Hank embodies the managerial skills (human and technical) which are required to run a successful business. He knows how to adapt organizational skills to match a company’s growth and was featured in Black Enterprise as company of the year in 1984.
