Good morning. This is the start of Foods of the US (liberal studies in cultural understanding). I started this class several years ago after I realized that in my US Geography course, we tended to talk about food a lot. I mean a lot. I was raised in a food loving household. We all cook. I tend to be regionally based - both from tradition and from travelling or living in different regions (I have finished the 50 states (Alaska in 2011) and started over in 2012). My husband is regional SW, but also ethnic as he is second and third generation Swiss, Danish, German and Norwegian. You will get to see his mom in one of the lectures, cooking a Danish item. Food...
