The weight of the basket hung down his arm, as he lazily strolled through the aisles glancing between the boxes. Turning the corner Hal suddenly felt a quick jab as a basket jabbed him in the stomach. Looking down he saw a young woman, now on the ground, looking up at him. Offering a helping hand he pulled her up and held the proffered basket while she dusted herself down. "I'm sorry," she quickly gave him, taking back her basket she begun to leave. "Excuse me."

"No, I'm sorry. I... I wasn't paying attention." he explained half-heartedly. As she stepped aside him, Hal noticed on the ground was a small purse. Picking up the fallen object, he turned around only to find that she was no longer near him. Walking towards the checkouts Hal waited nearby for the woman to come. A few minutes passed when he spotted the long tawny brown hair enroute for a register. Stepping behind the mystery woman, he reached his arm over her head dangling her purse infront of her face. "I believe you dropped this."

"Huh," reaching into the basket her eyes grew wide as she realized what was no longer placed neatly inside, "I didn't realize that it had fallen." Turning she looked up to see the young man from earlier, whom she had collided with. "Thank you, I don't know how I can repay you for this."

Releasing the item into her hand, Hal just shook his head, "Don't worry about it."

"But I really should, if it wasn't for my lack of attention then you wouldn't have been hurt earlier and you also wouldn't have had to wait for me just to give me the purse." She stated firmly, looking deep within his golden hazel eyes. "I insist."

"Really don't worry about it. Just be careful next time, if it happens again who ever finds that may not be as nice." With that he turned and left the young woman alone to pay for her groceries.
