Legalization Support On the Rise

In my essay I will be talking about how the support for marijuana legalization in the US is at an all time high. It seems like many US citizens are in favor of decriminalizing marijuana and support has never been more greater. This could potentially one day work to reform the current laws for marijuana use and possession.

I chose this topic because this is a very controversial matter. Many people support it while there is still a smaller percentage that doesn’t. There has been various efforts to decriminalize marijuana but none have yet to succeed. Although if support stays on the same path there could possibly be a change to that.

This topic has a great significance to me because I personally believe that if this is truly a fair and just country they would give the people what they want. Our country’s stance on this could also cause public unrest for not giving the people what they want. I also think an un-harmful plant should no way be outlawed.

What I hope to learn from this topic is to find out both point of views towards marijuana’s decriminalization. I also plan to argue for the revision of this country’s current laws banning marijuana. Hopefully soon these policies will one day reform causing America’s legislation to represent the wants of the people
