Benefits of new forming teams

A team is any group of people organized to work together independently and cooperatively to meet the needs of their customers by accomplishing a purpose and goals. The team's mission is to create an environment that nurtures and grows "global IBMers."

Central to the team's strategy is engaging employees at all career stages. There changes will allow them to grow locally and globally which will align business strategies with national priorities and societal goals, build local expertise and expand market relevance. Develop leadership, will provide more employees with opportunities to enhance their skills, and offer more varied global experiences in there careers. In the old days at IBM, projects often were born and died within a single office building in New York State.

These days, they are broken into pieces and farmed out to small teams worldwide. Having an important role is vital for attracting and keeping top programmers. Forming these new teams will provide motivation and creativity which can also lead to building a trust within there groups and teams. Motivated employees benefit the company by providing excellent customer service and an increase in efficiency and productivity. When employees work together in a group, they are often times able to collaborate and brainstorm innovative and creative ideas to benefit the organization. Many organizations form diverse teams, which allow team members to draw from the experiences and abilities of one another. Diversity within teams is beneficial because different cultures approach problems and topics differently.

Challenges IBM Faces

A challenge is difficulty in a job or undertaking that is stimulating to one engaged in it. While providing a vast array of services, the global IBM teams also face a vast array of difficulties.
