“FEMINISM IN THE FRANKENSTEIN NOVEL”

Feminism is simply put as how women struggle to have the same rights and opportunities as men. When one is focuses on the ancient culture and literature, it gets to a point where we question at the same time interpret ideologies in our society. Feminism at times leads to people living differently questioning their gender and its role. In the novel Frankenstein, Mary Shelly tries to incorporate responses to feminist issues. It is evident when one is reading the novel set in the nineteenth century where the society norm portrayed men and women in different sectors that are men take part in the public while women take part in the domestic sector. Victor Frankenstein as an example of men not to forget Walton is in a quest to find happiness, experience, personal fulfillment and mostly knowledge while the women stay in the house and are not allowed in to the public activities where intellectuals conducted their business.

A standard part of literary works analyzed by simply feminists would be the portrayal of women of all ages. With Frankenstein this really is evident inside a couple approaches.
