How to Tell If Your Friend Is Drunk: Demonstrative Speech

It is possible that some of you have never experienced this but I am sure some of you have or at least seen it. Imagine if you will hanging out with some of your friends on a Saturday night at your local bar maybe even a restaurant. Let’s just say you are not the one drinking but have been designated as the responsible driver of the evening. You and your friends are having a great time just talking and spending time with each other. You notice one of your friends, who by the way can’t hold their liquor, downing beer after beer or their “favorite” drink like its water. By the time you notice the damage has been done. So you ask yourself…… “Hmmmmmm, I wonder if they are drunk or just tipsy. Well don’t you fret I am here to help you answer that question. Let’s look at some simple things you can look for.

If you look over at your friend and this is how they are looking back at you, which is not normal by the way…….assume she is at least a tipsy

Ask the DJ or whoever is in control of the music if you can play your friends favorite song and if you notice your friend, who we will call Sarah, getting a little antsy during the song BEWARE it is very possible that it’s about to go down. If Sarah no longer can hold back the undeniable urge to start dancing and starts busting all kinds of moves on the non-existent dance floor…… Yeah “Check please”

Once you leave the bar or restaurant, tell Sarah that you need to a store that is about a block away. If Sarah says “challenge accepted” then takes off running to the destination it is very likely she is drunk and not tipsy.

Once you have recovered Sarah from her “Fun run”, the ask Sarah if she has seen a movie that you know she has never seen, if she says yes, like “duh who hasn’t” guess what…….She’s drunk.

While at the store, before you drop Sarah off at her home, tell Sarah she needs to buy crackers for her snack tomorrow. If Sarah get to the counter and asks how much are the crackers then throws random dollar bills on...
