LEAST DEVELOPED COUNTRIES

1.0 INTRODUCTION

Globalization can be defined in different perspectives but it is still in the same context. One might define globalization as an interaction of economics development and societies covering every region of the world. Globalization can be said as a bridge that connects technology, economic, political and cultural exchanges via several factors such as the movement of transportation, infrastructure and communication. Others can say that globalization is the increasing of linkages between the world in terms of cultures as well as disease and crimes. However, the most popular definition of globalization is referred as the condensing of the world into a global village in which all the borders vanish, distance and time shorten.

Globalization refers to the integration of economics and societies all over the world. Integration can be classified into positive and negative integration. Positive integration focused on standardizing international economic laws and guidelines. In this kind of integration, countries involve will regulate related or equivalent policies on tariffs to each other. Negative integration in other words is the removing of trade barriers or defensive barriers and replacing those regulations with quotas and tariffs. The elimination of barriers advantages the involved country if such removal is for products that are essential for the economy of the respective country.

Globalization has been said connecting the technological, economic, political and cultural exchanges all over the world. All those aspects are the factors that drove globalization. Technology and innovation play a significant role in the global economy and contribute in improving health, food security, water and energy.
