1. What are the issues involved in resolving legal disputes in international transactions?

Understanding our foreign trade laws is very important when dealing with internal transactions and disputes. People from different locations will want to have their cases heard in the court where they stay in order to have a minimum punishment, if they receive any punishment at all. In order to prevent any conflicts there should be an international resolution law that can be resolved by using standard procedures, arbitration, or jurisdiction of the courts.

2. What are some practical considerations of taking legal action against a foreign business partner based in another country?

The United States must know the laws of the country that they are doing business with. Some laws that are laws in the United States may not be the same as in a foreign country. A contract should be legally enforceable within the countries that are conducting business. However, on a personal note, countries should consider the cultural and ethical differences of other countries.

3. What factors could work against CadMex's decision to grant sublicensing agreements?

A sublicense is giving something to a person/company who is not the primary owner rights of the property. Organizations must be extremely careful when conducting businesses and who they allow inside the corporation and who they conduct business with. Businesses must also be extremely careful about what goes publicly with the company to prevent any types of lawsuits against the company.

4. When the local customs and laws conflict with the customs and laws of an organization operating abroad, which should prevail? Explain why.
