Many historians and teachers teach African-American history and they forget about teaching the real roots of Africa and how African conserved their culture throughout history. Everyone should know who Africans are to each other and who are they to non-Africans. Africa is the origin for human being(Map 1 pg1). During Classical Africa period, the Africans move to Nile Valley and other parts of Africa. They created writing, counting, science, arts, spiritual system (religion), and formal teaching (schools). Kemet begun in 6000years.Africans built pyramids in Egypt. Africans gave birth to different types of cultures like Nok culture (Nigeria) and Akan cultures (Ghana). Moors left Spain and came back to Africa. in 1500s, Africans went back to western hemisphere with Spanish. Then they went to America with English. In 1800s Africans free themselves and came to Haiti (class lecture and text notes). Africa is a very diverse continent. According to Atlas Map 3, "There have been more than 800 African ethnic and linguistic groups, each maintaining its own culture, language and religion." African fought for power due to language, culture and religion differences which benefited Europeans to come and invade Africa. Then Europeans forced African to learn European language and gave European names to African places and people besides enslaving them. Many large state and village based systems were created for Africans. Ibrahim Lincoln to this country is like a Jesus. Lincoln wanted all Africans to be out of United States. In 1862-62, U.S recognized Haiti as a country to send all Africans out of United States. by 1950s, Africans realized that they are all around western hemisphere so they decided that they should be united and leave to Africa. In 1917, Russian was emerging as global power and United States was afraid of Russian. As a result, United States wanted all Africans to stay in United States so they can be used for war.
