Within this article, it is explained how virtual researchers still use the same principle as traditional researchers. Researchers have the responsibility and obligation to conduct ethical and respectful manner in an open setting such as face-to-face, in malls, and at special events. “Internet mediated spaces, such as MUDs, Moos, chat rooms, discussion fora, and so on. This does not change in the virtual (Buchanan, 2004. P.22, para 2).

In the year 1990, internet starting to grow and American Association for the advancement of science (AAAS) had a discussion on making recommendations on virtual research ethics. Many people do not like to give out their information during a survey. Instead, he or she rather takes the survey anonymously, and researchers understand and respects how they feel when ask upon taking a survey. “People are very concerned about online privacy, and with good reason. Researchers need to be extremely cautious protecting peoples' rights, both legal and ethical reasons (Buchanan, 2004. P. 23, Para. 2).

After reading this article, I remember in the Gurnee mall in IL. In that location were two researchers asking people to submit a survey on movies. One side, there was a man that has taken Males genders and the others said there was a woman taken only Womens. From my observation I am assuming the research was about who will capture the most attention between men or women’s. On the other hand, people simply passed through just like myself calling back if I participate they probably are mailing a set of promotional products think that I might be interesting in buying the merchandise. Others may feel very differently.
