Corporate Social Responsibility:

Does a corporation have any obligations to society / the community it operates in? Is a corporation a moral entity? Why should a corporation act in a socially responsible manner? What is the relationship between the corporation and its employees, customers, shareholders, stakeholders? Is CSR an imperative or a consequence of capitalism? Where does the corporation’s obligation to water and environmental management end?

Stakeholders:

What is the impact of stakeholders on business? What should the role of stakeholders be in shaping business? Who are stakeholders, and what informs their morality? How does business handle competing stakeholder claims? Are stakeholders more or less important / necessary in a capitalist system? How do stakeholders influence corporate behaviour and water management principles?

Environmental Ethics:

How do we judge the value of the environment? Do we privilege humans more than the environment? Are animals more important than humans or the environment? Is it morally congruent to adapt the environment to suit humanity or societies’ needs? Is environmentalism an ideology or a moral imperative? How do we judge competing environmental needs? What is the role of water in our environment? Should there be an environment or water caretaker?

Globalisation:

Is globalisation good for all humanity? How do we judge the impact or value of globalisation? What ethical principles are affected by globalisation? Is there a global ethics? What moral safeguards are in place and be enacted for capitalism in a global setting? How is water valued in a global marketplace? What has globalisation done to water management practices? Has globalisation encouraged water privatisation?
