Why Were The Bombs Dropped?

Japan Fighter planes bombarded Pearl Harbor and killed many American Soldiers stationed there at the time. Pearl Harbor was a Naval Base in Hawaii Territory where two battleships; the U.S.S Arizona and the U.S.S Oklahoma were stationed where both of which were destroyed as a result of the bombing. Many other ships were sunk and damaged during this attack and president Truman believed that dropping the bomb on Japan was the only way that they would surrender the war.

Why we should not have used the bomb

The Bombs in Japan also had reasons why they should have not been dropped. One is that Innocent blood was shed when it was not necessary to win the war. It was not normal and had not been done before so it was not very humane. It destroyed the land of which some people who had not been apart of the bombing of Pearl Harbor were living on and killed most of the people in those places.

My opinion on the Bomb drop

I believe that the bombs needed to be dropped on Japan. Not the Innocent people of Japan though. Japan wanted to destroy the U.S but not all people that were killed needed to be. Although if action was not taken by the U.S I believe that the Japanese would have bombed other U.S bases thus turning the war in the Axis's powers favor. Possibly changing the outcome of the war. So this is why I believe it was the right thing to do.
