1. Talkative students during class discussion

- Change your body language and the tone of your voice.

- Move the disruptive student(s) to a different seat in the room.

- Give the disruptive student(s) a “time-out”

- Give additional tasks and assignments to the whole class.

2. Cell Phone Disruption in the middle of the class discussion or activity

- In our school we don’t allow students to bring cell phone but if ever you will caught student(s) with cell phone, it is the right of the teacher to confiscate the cell phone or any kind of gadgets or toys that can disrupt the class, create noise and lack of focus on the part of students

3. Sleeping during period

- Always consider possibilities like the student might be sick, or lack of sleep due to family problems etc. The best way is to talk to the student and ask the reason why he/she is sleeping during class hours, and give him/her warning for the first time he/she did it.

- One reason also is the teaching strategies of the teacher is not effective, so if you feel that almost half of the class is sleepy, try different approaches that can catch their attention or interest.

- If the student is sleeping due to laziness, or just doesn’t want to listen, you can call his attention by placing him/her in a joke (but please be careful on your jokes), you can also give warning at first, and if he/she repeat it in purpose you can talk to him/her after class, and tell the student that there will be deductions on his/her behaviour grade and the incident will be written on his/her diary to inform the parents of behaviour inside the class.

4. Repeated Tardiness

- NEVER EVER LET THE STUDENT STAY OUTSIDE, if you let this happen, the student/s win over you. Ask the student to get an admission slip to the discipline officer and write it on the diary.
