You spent the past few days exploring the resources available to students, and you want to share what you learned with a friend who is interested in enrolling.

Write a 150- to 200-word e-mail to your friend summarizing the resources available to students.

Hey Dave! When last we spoke, you asked about the resources they have for students at the university of. The short answer is: a lot. There are tons of useful links for research on their student website’s online library, and even more for practical application. There are several programs that help you to make sure you are doing things correctly. One of them is called Writepoint, and it reviews your papers and written works for formatting errors so that you don’t submit work with flaws. Pretty sure I will be using that one a bunch. There’s another one that checks your papers for plagiarism too, so you aren’t ripping off other people’s work. These are only a few of the things they have, and all of them have tutorials so that you don’t get lost with what you’re doing. Most of the ones I am focusing on right now are in what they call “Center for Writing Excellence”, but soon I will be exploring the others just as much I’m sure. Anyway, drop me a line if you had any other questions!

You asked your facilitator to review your e-mail draft. She liked what you wrote and asked you to write a summary to post in the class forum for the other students to read.
