Dr. Eric Schadt is a scientist who make research on gene. Most of the times this is required a system that can store a large amount of data. Large company can afford to purchase an information system infrastructure that can store a lot of data and very complex. He found out cloud computing eliminates the high cost of information system infrastructure. This new technology is affordable for small companies and it is the best system to manage the study of the living system .

He is a co-founder of Sage Bionetwork that shares data among peers. Sharing data that is “the key to finding cures and creating drugs, that will combat diseases” . He is learning a new technology that can help biologist to look at “individual molecules of DNA in real time”. This project demands a lot of travelling. Because of that he needs a system that allows him to access its data anywhere for its research. Cloud computing power is the exact system infrastructure that help him to continue its research anywhere.

The advantage of cloud computing applications are faster, simpler and cheaper to use, as there is no involvement of capital requirement for servers or storage and operational expenses for running a large data center (Buyya et. al. , 2011). (Mangiuc, 2011)

From the perspective of users, distributed file systems provide a way for multiple users to share files and storage resources on multiple machines. Such a way not only relieves users of the tedious and headachy work of devices maintenance and management, but also keeps the advantages of file system in using storage devices. With multiple users sharing the same device, the utilization of device is improved.

The Cloud storage is delivered over a network, easy to scale and easy to manage. The network used in Cloud storage is usually the Internet. With Cloud storage, users need not care about such complex technical details as storage capacity, data location, data availability, reliability and security. The only...
