Five Easy Pieces-Jack Nicholson

The issue is all about this guy, Jack Nicholson in a diner ordering what he wants but is not allowed to have as said by the waitress. He ordered an omelet but wants tomatoes instead of potatoes; the waitress said she could not take his order for the diner has a rule of no substitutions, what’s in the menu that’s what they take as an order. Another one was Jack Nicholson wanted a side of wheat toast to go with his omelet but again the waitress said they do not do side orders, Nicholson then insisted that she makes one because they make sandwiches in the diner why don’t they make his side order of toast?

I feel that it was a fault in both teams; the waitress should have just said that she would ask the manager to do something about it, or she could have said it politely not telling Nicholson that he does not understand the rules and still insists on what he wants. It is also a fault in Nicholson’s part because even though there is already a rule of no substitutions, he still insisted that he want his order breaking the rules of the diner, also it was not very nice to spill everything up in the diner before you leave just because you did not get what you want. If I was the manager I would tell the waitress that Nicholson could have the original plain omelet with the fries and rolls with the additional tomatoes, adding it up to the bill and give him a sandwich but leave the filling on the side for he wants a side order of only toast. The waitress will also address Nicholson that he is right following the golden rule that the customers are always right.
