Regulatory Affairs

* Telecom regulatory issues such as licensing, Telecom Act, Mobile Cellular Policies, MNP, USF, R&D, SMP, 3G, national roaming, NDCs / numbering levels tariff and mobile banking.

* Interaction and liaison with MoIT, PTA and FAB and Armed Forces on policies and regulations.

* Interact with Interconnect Department on interconnection issues with all telcos.

* Interact and coordinate with regulatory departments of all telcos, CMTOs in particular on regulatory matters.

* Advise / assist all company departments on issues relating to Regulatory Issues.

* Interact with FAB for allocation of frequencies.

* Monitor internet and press for latest information placed by MOIT or PTA on websites.

* Preparation, execution and implementation of department’s approved budget.

* Regulatory Payments.

* Interact with PTCL on power, space and microwave connectivity at PTCL / NTC exchanges, hiring of leased lines, 2 megabit streams between Zong BSC and PTCL switches, Digital Interface Units (DIUs), expedite fault rectification of PTCL links and systems, implementation of IR in PTCL’s gateway exchanges.

* Interaction with other LDI, & WLL operators.

GR Operations

* Responsible for GR operations and all matters pertaining to PTA less regulatory affairs handled by Regulatory wing of the company.

* PTA’s observations regarding our network, breakdown of communication, QoS survey coordination, IMEI, illegal international calls termination (grey traffic), unsolicited SMS, customer’s complaints received through PTA and customer service for government officials.

* External interference.

* Interaction with Enforcement division of PTA. Mobile phone customers’ documentation, verification and electronic storage.

* Interact with GR of CMTOs on GR operational matters.

* Quarterly reports and monthly subscriber base reports for PTA.
