Dixie’s economic outlook is bright. The breakdown of the organizations SWOT analysis can help explain that Dixie produces environmentally and economically friendly cups. The company’s isolation from the cyclical nature of the economy by its brand positioning within the market is evidence. This positioning is one of the company’s strengths. As the leading manufacturer of paper product cup to improve beverage cup places the company in a good economic position. The company has produced year over year growth of 20% even in down markets. The only weakness is the economy were to become completely depressed, including 20% unemployment, rampant inflation, etc., the company would not be as profitable. As a recommendation for an economic recovery progresses, the company should look for opportunities to capitalize on its name brand. The free availability of disposable income as the economy heats up again is an opportunity to take over new markets or niches within the industry.

Technology, Processes, and Systems

Technology allows Dixie to reach all its customers at once. The Internet has become Dixie main resource concerning generating revenue. Reflecting on the demand and opposition in the business, this trend gives Dixie a chance to grow significantly in the product lines. Dixie can conduct mass sales and purchases without having a physical a store or warehouse. This opportunity is possible because consumers can buy Dixie products online such as Amazon.com or Walmart.com and at the local retailer such as Target, Walgreens, and Ralphs. This affords Dixie expanded opportunity to grow financially.
