8 .Velocity of the bullet in the barrel

The bullet will travel the bore of the barrel depending on the powder load of the cartridges, seen it is the powder load that propel the bullet in the bore of the barrel of the firearm.

Hence, it goes to show, that the basis to classify a firearm as high power is the powder load and not the bigger bore diameter, although some firearm which posses bigger bore diameter are really powerful and classified as high power, no doubt about it.

9. Rotation of the Bullet in the Barrel

When the bullet is driven by the heated gas by tremendous pressure towards the muzzle end, the bullet will rotate following rifling’s or land and grooves inside that gun barrel.

That is, if the barrel had lands and grooves, if there’s none, it is called smooth bore firearm and, not are rifled bore firearm. In smooth bore firearm the bullet would just move forward without rotating inside the bore of the barrel until the bullet left from the muzzle of the gun and you cannot insure, you can hit no target because it has no gyroscopic stability is the stability of the flight of the bullet within the effective range, due to the twist of lands and grooves from the breech end to the muzzle end.

In rifled bore firearm, the bullets has a gyroscopic stability during its flight, even there is air resistance encounter immediately after the bullet left from the muzzle of the gun, still, it can recover from wobbling flight, because of the presence of rifling or the combination of lands and grooves. But with respect to the smooth bore with firearms bullet, when it leaves from the muzzle of the gun, and encounter air resistance, once it deviates from its direction, it cannot recover anymore to the original direction.

For the aspiring gun owners, they preferred riffled bore firearm owners, they have one thing in common, to hit their target.

The lands and grooves, starting from the breech end up...
