Two Organisations

In this assignment I am going to choose two contrasting types of business organisation in two different sectors, I have chosen the private sector and the public.

The companies I have chosen are SIA „Lido” which is in the private sector and the other company is SIA „LMT”which is in the public sector.

I am going to start with Lido, it is an catering company located in Latvia, the business activity of the company is national, but soon there are going to be a new restaurant in Estonia. They are in seconday and tertiary sector. Lido is in the private sector, as it has a private individual owner, the control of the business is held by the director, the capital is provided by the owner, the use of the profits the business makes is used by the owner which uses on improvements, and lastly the aim of the company is to become an internationally recognizable brand with a unique and unified concept. They are making advertisements and new foods, quality, prices, corporate gifts, which are costly, to affect key stakeholders.

Next company is LMT, it is the biggest mobile network operator in Latvia. LMT actively participates in the activities of international telecommunications organizations and they are in tertiary sector.Their aim is to ensure the new mobile telecommunications services in the development and implementation also to increase the number of service users. The ownership of LMT is to TeliaSonera AB (24,5%), Sonera Holding B.V. (24,5%), VAS "Latvian State Radio and Television Center” (23%), SIA Lattelecom (23%), Latvian Republic (VAS "Privatization Agency") (5%). They way how they impress key stakeholders it that , they make price cuts, advertisements and new ways how to get to the internet faster like through phones and key stakeholders are affecting them by using more of their serivces.
