Our team conducted two identical yet independent surveys from two different communities. Prior to distributing the surveys to the public, we contacted Tamara Dolan, Director of Parking for the city of Allentown. We asked Tamara what questions she would like to see in a survey, and what informational data would be most beneficial to her. Tamara had indicated that she would like to see information on the following topics:

1). Would the surveyed population attend events in the Allentown area?

2). What are the preferences of the population related to parking in the Allentown area?

3). What would entice the general population to use public parking more?

4). What is the general demographic of the individuals who completed the survey?

Tamara was kind enough to provide a database of past clients who had included their Emails when parking in the past at Allentown events. We also wished to include a completely independent and separate survey from a community that had similar demographics and had also recently added a baseball stadium and hockey arena. We selected Greenville, South Carolina as our second area to conduct a similar survey. One of the members in our group has a branch office in Greenville, and was able to conduct a survey from fellow co-workers. The Greenville/Spartanburg area is similar to Allentown in population size, and currently supports a minor league baseball team and a minor league hockey team. Ironically, up until the 2013 season the Greenville hockey team was an affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, much like the Phantoms will be soon for Allentown. The town of Greenville went through a rebirth and is now possess a thriving downtown area filled with shops and restaurants.

The surveys were conducted differently to obtain non-biased and independent responses in two unique formats. The surveys will be known as the Allentown and Greenville surveys going forward in this paper. The Allentown survey was conducted via an online survey system...
