INTRO

The play opens with a song and an interpretative/folk dance. After the song there will be a short narration and introduction to the play.

SCENE 1

The first scene opens with the ringing of a bell signifying that class is over. Students then come on stage and see a huge poster/banner regarding a pageant. The main character is the last one to see the poster. There will then be an announcement regarding the specifics of the event.

SCENE 2

The second scene opens on a brightly lit stage. This is the pageant proper itself. There will be a brief showcase of the contestants just so the audience can see the contestants. They will then walk off stage. We now jump into the talent portion of the pageant. We first showcase the 2 best contestants. In the middle of their performances Ampalaya is seen backstage contemplating about his stance and chances in this competition. He is amazed and terrified by his fellow competitors. He devises a plan to sabotage the other contestants and steal some of their key attributes. Blinded by greed he then destroys the other contestants’ props and paraphernalia. He then equips himself with the things he believes can help him win the pageant. We will have a transformation scene here wherein Ampalaya gets a new look.

SCENE 3

During his performance the other contestants wonder what happened to their props and costume and etc., in this part we get to see a glimpse of the contestants. After Ampalaya’s performance he then proceeds to go backstage, as he walks part of his costume (disguise) falls off and he has a sense of shock. As he enters backstage the other contestants are there waiting for him as they sense that it was him all along who did such crimes. They proceed to push back onto the stage where his secret is revealed. He is then booed by the crowd and the judges scold him as the other contestants...
