I. Introduction

According to Augie Contreras Dela Cruz “When you are a leader, the first thing you need to have is the surety that you are doing the right thing, at the right place, day after day.” School management has always been the target of school authorities and officials because of its bearing with improvement and development of the educational system particularly in the Philippines today.

Different theories and practices in relation to leadership have been introduced in order to produce effective school managers both in public and private institutions. The success of any institution of learning depends how an organization of learning is managed a leader who deal with subordinates who should treated as human beings and to be understood in terms of attitudes and personal needs.

It is therefore imperative for school leaders to develop an understanding of leadership attitudes since these emphasize the key role that they play in the management process. In order to improve their ability to lead, they should show insight and sensitive understanding about how people around them react to their behavior which has a relation to the book of Dr. Henry Cloud in which he cited nine things a leader must do which bring the reader to the next level.

In this book it will discover the secrets that will help focus on the dynamics that make a different in an organization and in life. Here, the reader will learn to discover and invest inner desire and drives, not allow a sense of negativity to take up space in one’s mind and life, evaluate decisions in the present based on how will affect the future, continually ask oneself if what can he do to make the situation better?, achieve big goals by taking small steps over time, develop the ability to hate the right things well, give more and better than one’s given, not strive to be or to appear more than really oneself are but...
