A Few Aspects of the

Wing Safety Program

Abstract

The 113th Wing has a very broad safety program that covers anything from aircraft maintenance to traffic safety. There is still a lot that goes into trying to provide and establish a safe work environment while working with potentially dangerous and sometimes fatal equipment if not used correctly. I will cover how the Wing Safety managers relay their safety message out to the workers and how safety is everyone’s responsibility. There are so many small safety components injected into how we run our business and safety plays a major role in every facet of aircraft maintenance. As a new Safety Representative for our Maintenance Group, I will touch on a few of the small programs within our Wing Safety Program and how those programs are conducted. I also will try and show how Safety is promoted and advertised throughout the wing and how the safety program is kept to the highest of standards by our outstanding Airmen here at the District of Columbia, Air National Guard,113th Wing.
