Manager is the person who responsible for planning and directing the works for a group of individuals, monitoring their works, and taking corrective action when necessary. Managers work in the organization. Managers were classified into three levels, top managers, middle managers and first-line managers. There have three ways to look at what managers do. First is the four function approach to what they do, planning, organizing, leading and controlling. Next is the management roles, there is three roles such as interpersonal roles, informational roles, and decisional roles. Interpersonal roles have figurehead, leader, and liaison. Informational roles have monitor, disseminator, and spokesperson. Decisional roles have entrepreneur, disturbance handler, resource allocator, and negotiator. Last are the skills that managers need. There have four skills such as conceptual skills, interpersonal skills, technical skills, and political skills.

The first CEO I chosen was Meg Whitman. She is the current Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett-Packard Company. After she graduated with obtained an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1979, she began her career as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio. After that, Whitman moved on to work as a consultant at Bain & Company's San Francisco office. Later, she achieves the position of senior vice president. Meg became vice president of strategic planning at The Walt Disney Company in 1989. In March 1998, Meg joined eBay. Whitman resigned as CEOs of eBay in November 2007, but remained on the board and served as an advisor to new CEO John Donahoe until late 2008. In January 2011, she joined Hewlett-Packard's board of directors. She was named CEO on 22 September 2011 until now.

Before she started her career, she abandoned medical school dreams and change her major to economics. Then, she interviewed for Procter & Gamble Company for starting of the career. She just wanted to test her skills in business...
